Goo Goo Dolls Haven’t Sold Out
Tessa Wong of Malaysia’s NST spoke with Goo Goo Dolls bassist Robby Takac, who insists the band hasn’t sold out its punk-metal roots by producing hook-laden melodic pop. “I think if you listen to all our records, you wouldn’t hear a change,” he said. “This is what we’ve been like for many years. The most important thing in this sub-genre of post-punk we’re in is honesty. I think that’s one thing we managed to hang on to, and that’s what people find rare about us.”
