Michael Nelson of the Island Ear chatted with Glassjaw guitarists Justin Beck and Todd Weinstock, and asked the band about their bad experience with Roadrunner Records after their producer, Ross Robinson, jumped the label. “Everything went wrong,” says Beck. “[Roadrunner] had no vision, they couldn’t understand anything, they didn’t understand the band. And what happened was, Ross ended up leaving Roadrunner. He couldn’t bring another band there because he realized how bad it was. When Ross left, we were stuck there. They didn’t want us to begin with, and he brought us there. So they didn’t want us, but to spite Ross, they would di** around with us. It was agony and hell.” Islandear.com has since removed the article.
