KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons has posted the following message on his official web site: “WARNING; Read the following and take note!!! I AM NOT MARRIED. Repeat. I am NOT married. Here’s what this is about. Yesterday, there was a surprise party I set up for someone. A beautiful girl. It was a set-up!!! But the surprise was on me!!! She and her people arranged for: Wedding cake. Rabbi. Rings. And cameras. She did it as a joke. So, no matter what you hear and no matter what pictures you see in print from that surprise party, I AM NOT MARRIED!!! ‘Me thinks he doth protest too much?’ You bet your ass.”
