Garbage Would Be Dull Without Shirley Manson
Jason Anderson of The Globe and Mail was at the Garbage concert on Friday at Toronto’s Kool Haus, and seemed only interested in lead singer Shirley Manson. Anderson said, “If Manson were not front and center, Garbage would be more than slightly dull. The band began as the brainchild of three musicians and producers, including Butch Vig, famed producer of Nirvana’s landmark album Nevermind. Garbage’s slick merger of heavy guitar-rock and sample-heavy electronica would have seemed overcalculated if not for Manson’s vim and vigor.” The full story at theglobeandmail.com has since been removed.
