Friends Mark Anniversary Of Dimebag’s Death
Thursday (December 8) will mark a year since the on-stage murder of Pantera/Damageplan guitarist ‘Dimebag’ Darrell Abbott, and Billboard.com spoke with some of his heavy metal peers for their thoughts on the rocker. “There was never a dull moment. There was always something that was happening — just constant laughter,” Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante said. “Even when people would meet him for the first time, he would make them feel like they knew him forever. He would make sure that the experience was a memorable one.” Read more, including remarks from ex-Metallica guitarist Jason Newsted, King’s X singer/bassist Doug Pinnick, and Vision Of Disorder guitarist Matt Baumbach, here.
Hi everyone
Here in Canada Dimebags Death has impacted us very hard, when I first heard from my friend Doug that he got shot by some crazed maniac cause he left Pantera or that they were stealing his songs out his head, well I thought that was crazy. But what I wanted to say is that, I never got to see Dimebag play and it was one of my dream to see him, but we all know that wont happen because of his tragic Death ,and I want to thank Nathan gale for Not making my dream come true and hope you rot in hell. Dimebag I know we will meet each other someday when the higher power is ready to take me.
In memory of Dimebag I will get a tattoo of Him and John Lennon, Dime with his cowboys from hell Guitar and also john with his, and both of them looking down at there killers and Dime shooting a bolt of lightning at them from his Guitar.
