Flickerstick Struggle On A Year After Glory
Vic Drabicky of the Fort Worth Weekly caught up with Flickerstick frontman Brandin Lea to get his take on the year that saw them win Bands on the Run, get signed by Epic, saw their ‘Welcoming Home the Astronauts’ debut fizzle, and subsequently get dropped by Epic. Flickerstick’s A&R reps and promotion staff were canned by Epic just before the album released. “It was tough,” said Lea, “because pretty much everyone at the label that was supporting us was gone.” After that, only 75,000 copies sold. He is tight-lipped about which label, if any, will release the planned studio follow-up record. Fwweekly.com has since removed the article.
