Finger Eleven Maps Its Course
Finger Eleven doesn’t sound much like some of the band’s Wind-up Records label-mates, like Creed or Evanescence. “It’s all over the map, to tell you the truth. And I think it’s nice, because we still take our influences from everything. But because it’s such a wide range of influences, it’s sort of hard to tell,” guitarist Rick Jackett tells Eric R. Danton of the Hartford Courant. “It’s not like our band really loves one band and we sit there and listen to their one record and we just try to imitate what they’re doing. We like all the music. I mean, we take influence from Britney Spears. For real, we did. We just heard her do a key change in one of her songs.”
