Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman claims to be a different man after the band’s visit to Africa. “Oh man, it was so eye-opening,” Trohman tells Time Off magazine. “We went to Uganda for about a week and it was crazy. I think we saw some things that most people in the world choose to either ignore or just never really get an opportunity to read about or watch on TV, let alone visit. I think it made us all very thankful for what we have, not that we really ever took anything for granted – although, I think we all take things like electricity and being able to eat on a regular basis for granted. They call Uganda a ‘developing country’ and I think that’s insulting. They’re not developing; there are many things keeping them from being able to develop.”
