Fall Out Boy Win MTV2 Award

Fall Out Boy took home the MTV2 Award at Sunday night’s MTV Video Music Awards for ‘Sugar, We’re Going Down’. Upon accepting the honor, the band told the Miami crowd, “Yes, so there’s a lot of people we have to thank. We have to thank Bob and the Crush Management. Simon at A.P.A., MTV, L.A. Reid, Rob Svenson, Eric Wong, Karen Weeseen, everybody at Def Jam. Really important My Chemical Romance and truly ‘Helena’, we think you’re truly amazing. Best band on earth. And if we can do this, everyone on planet earth can do this. It’s the most important award tonight because the fans voted on it. Thanks to all the fans out there who stuck with us. You mean the world to us.”
