Evanescence’s ‘Fallen’ Rises To The Level Of Original Art

Michael D. Clark of the Houston Chronicle reviewed the debut album ‘Fallen’, giving it an impressive A grade. Clark says, “Evanescence’s mix of male gnashing and female softness could have turned into a fight for control. Instead they were smart enough to find they complemented each other. Without [singer Amy Lee], the group would be a rip-off of Metallica or Limp Bizkit. Without the guys, Lee would be no more potent than Avril Lavigne or Roxette. Together, they have created a rock/pop/rap hybrid just waiting to be copied.” Read more.
