Ella Hooper’s Vocal Scare

Before recording their self titled album, Killing Heidi singer Ella Hooper had to undergo an operation on her vocal chords, and there were even fears she wouldn’t ever sing again. “It was horrible,” she told Australia’s Beat magazine. “It was a really sh**house time, I would say the crappiest thing I have ever been through. The thing I love doing most is singing and that wasn’t working, it was broken. It got me down and I thought about throwing in the towel, but thankfully I came out of that when my voice started to get better, and when I was in LA something clicked and I it got heaps better.”
