Disturbed & Chevelle Prove Balance & Metal Can Mix
Jimmy Magahern of the Phoenix New Times caught up with Disturbed frontman David Draiman and Chevelle drummer Sam Loeffler ahead of their show as part of Ozzfest on Wednesday (July 2). Both bands are seemingly at the opposite end of the music spectrum, with Chevelle being embraced by the religious right, while Draiman is an outspoken critic of Christian religions — a theme that surfaces in several songs on the band’s latest album, ‘Believe’. Asked how the two bands will mesh, Loeffler admitted, “I honestly don’t know what it’s gonna be like, but with the Ozzfest crowd, crazy’ is not necessarily a bad thing!” Read more.
