The Offspring frontman Dexter Holland talks to Radio 1’s OneMusic and was asked about if he could see the internet radically changing the way music is distributed. “The internet will eventually change the way people distribute and listen to music,” Holland said. “There needs to be a middle ground that makes the advantages of the internet work for everybody – for example, streaming new music allows the public to sample a band’s music, and if a record label can provide a convenient and economical way of selling that band’s music online, then everyone’s best interests are served. We’re starting to see that with Apple iTunes.”
