Despite What Many Think, QOTSA Isn’t New

Victor R. Martinez of the El Paso Times spoke with Queens of the Stone Age guitarist/keyboardist Troy Van Leeuwen, who says he’s used to people mistaking that the group is new to the scene, now that they are finally getting some airplay. “That always comes along with the territory of ‘Oh, finally radio picked up a single off the third record,'” he said. “That happens all the time. It’s just that the masses aren’t hip, until the radio tells them what to listen to.”
