Deftones’ Axis Show Is Simply S-moshing

Linda Laban of the Boston Herald reviewed the concert at Axis on Tuesday (May 6). Laban writes, “The evening was really about setting up the next wave of the Sacramento, Calif., band’s career, previewing its fourth CD, a self-titled effort due May 20 on Maverick Records. The group performed new songs such as the mesmeric ‘Battle Axe,’ the lanky guitar-licked ‘Hexagram’ and the myth and melodics of its first single ‘Minerva.’ But the set also dipped heavily into the raw, rude noise of the quintet’s 1995 debut, ‘Adrenaline’.” has since removed the article.
