Dave Navarro: Where’s The Supernova Promotion?

The Panic Channel guitarist checked in with fans on his blog at 6767.com, not happy about the promotions for ’s just-released debut album. “The Supernova record is out today. Does ANYONE know about that,” Navarro asked. “I just went to iTunes and noticed that there isn’t even one comment up. Now, I have been complaining about the state of the music industry for a long time… About how major record labels don’t stand behind their bands anymore but this is ridiculous. This is a new band that is full of platinum selling artists and the final winning singer from a high rated, network talent search summer series that cost millions to produce. CBS and MBP basically put together one of the most expensive ramp ups in album release history and so far, I haven’t seen a single add or alert about this album. Now, the band will be fine. They are going out on a huge tour and will gain plenty of momentum I am sure. My point is, if this is the way Epic is going to treat these guys, how do we expect any major to really get behind a band that is new, fresh and totally unknown?”
