The Panic Channel guitarist Dave Navarro checked in before taping ‘Rock Star: Supernova’ with fans on his blog at 6767.com on Sunday (April 6) after last night’s Camp Freddy show. “Sunday morning, kicking it in Cowell’s dressing room again at CBS,” he writes. “Last night at Camp Freddy we had a blast! Robby Krieger, guitarist from The Doors, came up and played Roadhouse Blues with us and Scott Weiland on vocals. It was truly amazing to stand next to a member of one of my all time favorite bands. Robby played great too… He is still a kick ass guitarist… This guy wrote, ‘Light My Fire’ for Christ’s sake. He was rocking the SG and his tone was the perfect Roadhouse tone. A-Mazing!!! Steve Isaacs of The Panic Channel did The Cult’s Sanctuary with Billy Duffy and AC/DC’s ‘Highway To Hell’ with Duffy and Slash. He killed it! When he broke into ‘Highway’, I was like, ‘Where did THIS guy come from?’ I mean, he is the singer of MY band and I had no idea he was THAT METAL!!!!!” The full post at 6767.com has since been removed.
