Dave Grohl On Making A Bad Ass Rock Record

Foo Fighters 'Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace'

T4 spoke with Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel and Taylor Hawkins after the frontman won the Godlike Genius award at the NME Awards in London. Dave talked about the award, recording the new album in a garage, teaming up with Butch Wig again, and an awards acceptance speech. “This was more of an experience,” Dave said of the recording process. “It was more about getting back together with Butch Wig, who produced Nirvana 20 years ago. I made a conscious decision. I was like, ‘Okay, I can either make something that’s going further down this path that we’ve been going, or while I still have it in me, make one more bad ass rock record.’ And I felt like, yeah I still have that in me.” Watch the interview at YouTube.
