Danny Carey Of Tool Talks With 107.7 The End

Danny Carey of called in to talk to 107.7 The End’s Andy Savage about the band’s current tour and show at the Tacoma Dome. Danny says the only difference between the shows since 9-11 is that cities are checking people pretty closely coming in with bomb sniffing dogs.

The band hasn’t been affected by flight problems since they bus for most of their tour. Danny talked about his time before tool where he was a session player for Carol King and his stint with Green Jello. Danny was happy with his decision to leave the one hit wonder for Tool saying of his decision, “It was kind of obvious.”

Carey says Maynard is very careful about what he says publicly and he’s trying to keep the focus off himself instead of the band. The Perfect Circle project kind of blew up bigger than expected and the record company pressured them to tour.
