Colin Relihan of Georgetown Univercity’s TheHoya.com is giving his thoughts on the current inane state of rock music lyrically, though he says it’s nothing new. Relihan cites Creed as the leader of pack in terms of mindless lyrics saying in addition, “Numerous one-name wonders, like Staind, Incubus, Nickelback and more have cropped up in the past few years, making their own contribution to the mountainous dustbin of weenie rock. It’s always powerful, but it never says anything. It’s always sensitive, but has no personality. Welcome to the world of the 21st century rocker.” Thehoya.com has since removed the article.
