Chris Cornell Enjoys Being The ‘New Guy’ In Audioslave

Gene Stout of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer caught up with former Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell who is being recognized again as someone in a “new” band — Audioslave. “They’ll say, ‘Oh, you’re that singer in that new band’,” Cornell said with a chuckle. “Which, of course, I love. It’s great to be 38 years old and be the new guy.” He added, “We’re getting a lot of younger people at shows. Some have actually approached me who don’t know who Soundgarden was or who Rage Against the Machine was.” Read more.
