Rolling Stone spoke with Chino Moreno and Abe Cunningham of Deftones backstage at their show at Manhattan’s Best Buy Theater the other day. The guys opened up about how they pushed through dark times to make their new album ‘Diamond Eyes’, and reflected on their long career in rock. “I notice that there’s a new generation of fans,” Moreno said. “I’ll notice when we’re playing stuff from our ‘Diamond Eyes’ record that a lot of time the younger crowd will react to that and then we’ll play the older stuff that always right away gets their attention, and it’s like new to them.” Watch the interview via YouTube below.
