Chevelle Move Beyond Nu Metal

Chevelle frontman Pete Loeffler tells Chart magazine they are drifting from their nu metal roots. “Yeah, I’m not sure what nu metal is,” Loeffler said with a shrug. “I think the phase is kind of dying off. Bands like Papa Roach that were once called nu metal are now changing their sound and trying to get away from that. And I don’t think we fit in with that scene, ever. I don’t even know what scene we fit in! We just write hard rock music.”
