Chüd Explains Mudvayne Name Changes
Mudvayne frontman Chüd (formerly known as Spag) spoke with NY Rock and explained why the band changed their names again. “Because we can,” he said simply. “We just did it to make fun of ourselves basically and to let people know… It’s like, all of a sudden, you’re this math metal-labeled band or whatever. You probably didn’t know this, but they talk about other bands now as being math metal. I named that; I was the first person that ever said that. They were interviewing us a couple of years ago, like, ‘How would you describe your music?’ I was like, “Um, we’re fu**in’ math metal.
