Change Of Plans For The Living End
Time Off magazine caught up with The Living End and asked the band what their intentions were with their new album ‘State of Emergency’. “The idea of this record has been through a few changes and ‘metamorphasized’ slightly,” guitarist Chris Cheney explained. “When we first decided to make the record with Nick Launay it was like, ‘We’re gonna get in there – just a three-piece – and slam it out, completely live sounding’, because we just really feel like we hadn’t done that on an album. I think the first album comes close, then ‘Roll On’ was really multi-layered, and [with this album] we really wanted to capture what we do on stage. That was the plan.” But that’s not how it ended up.
