Circa Survive checked in with their Facebook fans on April 16th, revealing that they are beginning work on a follow-up to their 2010 album ‘Blue Sky Noise’. The Doylestown, Pennsylvania rock band write:

3 Doors Down founding member Matt Roberts announced that he’s decided to leave the band. Roberts grew up with lead singer Brad Arnold and bassist Todd Harrell in Escatawpa, Mississippi, where they formed 3 Doors Down in 1996.
The group, which now consists of Arnold, Harrell, Chris Henderson on guitar and Greg Upchurch on drums considers this split is an amicable one. Roberts has been dealing with health and circulation problems, and those health issues have been exacerbated by performing nearly 300 dates each year with the band.
“3 Doors Down will always have a special place in my heart and it saddens me to take this time off,” said Roberts in his official statement. “But my health has to be my first priority.”
“Matt is our brother and he will always be a part of this band and he will always be welcomed back with open arms,” added lead singer and founding member Brad Arnold.
3 Doors Down’s current tour and schedule will go on as scheduled despite the lineup change. They are currently performing dates across the United States on the ‘Gang of Outlaws Tour’ with ZZ Top and Gretchen Wilson.

The Maccabees spoke with The Guardian about their mayhem filled Brighton Concorde gig six years ago, feeling the “landfill indie” tag was undeserved, recording with the Dodworth Colliery Band, recording with Roots Manuva, and more.
“We wanted him to play with us at Brixton Academy,” guitarist Felix White said about the Roots Manuva collaboration, but the British hip hop artist wasn’t receptive. “He said, ‘Brixton? Last time I was there I saw the Police’. I said ‘That must have been a while back?’ He said, ‘No, the Metropolitan Police’.”
My Darkest Days bassist Brendan McMillan spoke with The Star Phoenix about catching heat online for being signed to Chad Kroeger’s 604 Records label and being compared to Chad’s band Nickelback, who have been dubbed one of the titans of butt-rock. “I’ll see it sometimes on social networks with snooty comments. It is what it is,” McMillan said. “If you listen to the record all the way through, it doesn’t really sound like Nickelback. The people who love to hate Nickelback are going to say anything they can, but I don’t mind being associated with them. They have legions, hundreds of thousands of fans. That’s not a bad thing, I don’t think.”
Wolfmother frontman Andrew Stockdale insisted to Classic Rock Magazine writer Dave Ling that the Australian band’s revolving lineup isn’t because he’s a tyrant. “Being in a band offers so many different challenges. I have a good relationship with most people that have been in this band – but there are things you just can’t change,” Stockdale explained. “Two guys quit on me. The next drummer couldn’t handle the touring and wanted to stay at home. That’s not my fault.”
Previous Wolfmother members:
Chris Ross – quit citing “irreconcilable personal and musical differences”
Myles Heskett – quit citing “irreconcilable personal and musical differences”
Dave Atkins – left the band “to spend much-needed time at home with his family”
Aidan Nemeth – quit February 2012
Will Rockwell-Scott – quit February 2012
Andrew Stockdale – vocalist
Ian Peres – bassist
Vin Steele – guitarist
Elliott Hammond – keyboardist
Hamish Rosser – drummer
