Basement Begin Work On Second Album

Basement will be recording the follow-up to their 2011 debut album ‘I Wish I Could Stay Here’ this month in California with Sam Pura of The Panda Studios. The record will be released through Run For Cover this fall. The UK emo punk band just wrapped up some tour dates in Australia and will be starting a U.S. tour with Dead End Path, Daylight and Soul Search after performing at the 2012 Sound and Fury Festival in California July 20-22.

Lord Huron Debut Album ‘Lonesome Dreams’ Out October 9th

Los Angeles indie rock band Lord Huron are set to release their debut album ‘Lonesome Dreams’ October 9th on the independent label IAMSOUND Records. Lord Huron is a musical and visual project created by lead-singer and Michigan native-turned-Angeleno Ben Schneider. The new record follows the ‘Mighty’ EP. The teaser trailer for the first single ‘Time to Run’, off the new release, can be viewed via YouTube below.

To support the debut, the band will embark on a U.S. tour this fall. The trek kicks off August 24th in Los Angeles, making stops in Detroit, Philadelphia, Denver, Seattle and more before wrapping up November 1st in San Diego.

Abandon All Ships Release ‘Infamous’, Head Out On Tour

After spending a year and a half on tour supporting their debut record ‘Geeving’, Abandon All Ships returned to City Tape Studios in their hometown of Toronto, Ontario to begin working on the next record ‘Infamous’. The album was released earlier this month on Rise Records.

Teaming up with the same production team Medeuxa (made up of Anthony Calabretta & Mark Spicoluk), which helped craft ‘Geeving’, the band took their unique brand of Euro infused hardcore to new heights, opening the door to many new influences, and not letting anything hold them back.

Launching 2012 with a completely sold out U.S. tour with label mates Sleeping With Sirens and embarking on this summers Scream It Like You Mean It Tour (with We Came As Romans & Attack Attack), the band have already started mapping out a tour schedule more rigorous the one in support of their debut.

Iced Earth On North American Tour, Release ‘Dystopia’ Tour Edition

Heavy metal legends Iced Earth are currently touring North America, joined by Volbeat, Hellyeah and The Sixxis through July 24th. In regards to the, Jon Schaffer (rhythm, lead and acoustic guitars/backing vocals) commented, “I’m completely stoked, Volbeat is one of my all-time favorite bands, and Michael and the boys are great people. There is a lot of mutual respect and admiration, and I think we are in for a hell of a good time! This will be a package that won’t soon be forgotten, I’m sure of that.”

Iced Earth 'Dystopia'

‘Iced Earth’ are touring in support of their tenth studio album ‘Dystopia’, which was released last year via Century Media Records. To commemorate the tour, Iced Earth are released a limited tour edition of ‘Dystopia’. Currently available only at the merchandise stands on the tour, the 2-disc ‘Dystopia Tour Edition’ contains the original full-length album, as well as b-side covers of the Iron Maiden track ‘The Trooper’ and Black Sabbath’s ‘Mob Rules’, as well as the classic 17-minute Iced Earth track ‘Dante’s Inferno’, re-recorded with vocalist Stu Block. The bonus disc also contains both music videos from ‘Dystopia’ – the title track and ‘Anthem’ – as well as a ‘Making of Dystopia’ studio interview with the band, and exclusive cell phone skins and desktop backgrounds.

Wretched Announce U.S. Headlining Tour


Death metal band Wretched have officially announced their sixth headlining tour to date. The tour kicks off in Fort Collins, Colorado on July 17th, ending at Hooligan’s on August 10th in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

Formed in 2005 in Charlotte, North Carolina, Wretched started dominating their local music scene and quickly gained a very supportive following. They signed to Victory Records in 2009, releasing t heir third album on the label, ‘Son Of Perdition’, on March 26th. Their latest LP features new vocalist Adam Cody from Glass Casket.

Wretched are Steven Funderburk and John Vail on guitar, Andrew Grevey on bass, Marshall Wieczorek on drums and Adam Cody on vocals.

Connecticut emo/indie rockers The World Is A Beautiful Place (And I am No Longer Afraid To Die) has entered Format Audio Studio in Haverhill, MA with engineer Ryan Stack (My Heart To Joy) to begin recording ‘Whenever, If Ever’, their debut LP for Topshelf Records, due out this fall.

Run for Cover Records has signed Pity Sex to their roster. Hailing from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Pity Sex have a sound that converges with Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth and Hum.

Their newest EP, ‘Dark World’, is available to stream and download via below. It will available on vinyl in the coming weeks via Forward Records. The band has also begun writing their debut full-length for Run For Cover.

Portland, Oregon math rockers, Duck. Little Brother, Duck! are currently on a U.S. summer tour. Topshelf Records will release the bands’ new LP titled, ‘Don’t Take Our Filth Away’ on July 3rd.

The album will be the band’s first LP to get a physical release (in addition to digital) and is the follow up to their 2010 self-released digital full length ‘Survival Is Not a Workout’. The record was self recorded, mastered by Carl Saff, and will be available in July 2012.
