Butthole Surfers Find Trouble Playing Their Own Music

Chart Attack talked to The Butthole Surfers’ King Koffee who revealed the band has had trouble recreating the sounds of their latest album Weird Revolution. Koffee admits, “[In early years] we recorded at home. We never had any songs to record. We’d start off with a drumbeat, add guitar and build it up as it sounded right. One thing I liked about this record: it was a similar process. We didn’t have preconceived notions about what songs should be. On that level, it was pretty loose and experimental. Now, we have to teach ourselves what we’ve done, so that we can tour the album.” Chartattack.com has since removed the article.
