British Rock Quietly Making A U.S. Comeback
Lee Hudson Teslik of the Harvard Crimson proviled the new wave of British rock acts, who haven’t gotten the radio or MTV airplay, but have managed a following from “word of mouth and adventurous late-night use of KaZaA.” On Hudson’s list are Starsailor, Doves, and Coldplay. Hudson questions the trio’s chances in “the harsh commercialism of the American market” but “if these groups do pull through, they will likely be stronger and their music richer, as a result.” Read more.
