British Astronaut Plays Garbage In Space
Shirley Manson writes in her diary for the week of November 1-7th that she met an astronaut who also happens to be a big Garbage fan. “Piers Sellars a British astronaut who now lives in Houston came back stage before the show and showed us pictures that he had taken during his latest trip up into outerspace,” Manson said. “He’d returned from the space station just over two weeks ago and being a massive Garbage fan, he had taken one of our albums with him to play in the shuttle. He showed us this amazing photograph of a Garbage CD spinning in gravity free outerspace. It was a supercool and we were all completely thrilled to see it although Piers was mildly embarassed that the CD in question was a Russian bootleg! Ha ha ha ha.”
