Bono Upbeat On Helping African AIDS Problem
The New York Daily News spoke with U2 frontman Bono from the Nordoff-Robbins Foundation Silver Clef Awards fund-raiser on Monday, where he told them to watch for President Bush to announce a “major initiative” this week on America’s efforts toward African AIDS relief. The activist-singer said, “I think there’s energy and momentum to really do something about Africa and quickly.”
