Bono Pays Big To Have His Hat
The Sun reports Bono paid more than $1,500 to fly his fave chapeau to Italy, after discovering he had left the hat in London. The U2 frontman wanted the hat for the charity gig he sang with Luciano Pavarotti on Tuesday. Included in the bill was a $150 cab trip to London’s Gatwick Airport, then a $750 first class seat on a flight to Bologna, Italy, finally a $300 cab ride to Pavarotti’s hometown of Modena. Add in the $300 in tips, and the pricey hat made it in time for the singer to wear in concert.
