Bono: European Of The Year
Tiscali reports Bono received the European Of The Year award presented by European Voice magazine, for his efforts to highlight the debt plight of third world countries. In winning the honor, Bono said at the award ceremony in Brussels , “It was one of the best in that U2 is doing its greatest work 20 years after it was formed, and I’ve been blessed with another son. The worst is that I buried my father in August, and on September 11 the world grieved.”
