Bono Discusses Nobel Peace Prize Nomination
Entertainment Tonight caught up with U2 frontman Bono before he was honored at the MusicCares event Friday asked him about how he feels about being in the running for the Nobel Peace Prize, alongside such names as Pope John Paul and chief U.N. weapons inspector Hans Blix, for his efforts to fight AIDS and erase Third World debt. “I think that somebody has just been watching the AIDS campaign and the Drop the Dead campaign,” he explains. “I don’t think we can win it, but it is a huge honor just to be mentioned in the same sentence as a lot of those people.” Etonline.com has since removed the video.
