The musicians and Julie spoke with ‘Good Morning America’ co-host George Stephanopoulos about the project, Bono’s recovery after back surgery, what drew Bono to the production, and sets the theatergoers can expect from the big budget musical. “It’s a really quintessential New York story, and we’re all kinda wannabe New Yorkers,” Bono said. “It’s not so serious, but this post 9-11 idea of everyone being capable of being a hero kind of caught our imaginations and we didn’t want to go about it in any earnest way, but it’s a mythological character. A New Yorker old Peter Parker.” Watch the interview via ABC.com below.
