Blur’s Urban Influences

Damon Albarn from Blur says he listens to more R&B and hip-hop than rock music these days, and he thinks it has changing the band’s sound. “I listen probably to more music from that area than I do rock music,” he told Radio 1. “I don’t know – maybe it’s there in the music now, in the voice, I don’t know. The arrangement is cleaner and simpler and more rootsy.”
