Bloc Party bassist Gordon Moakes spoke with Australia’s Time Off magazine about the band’s new album ‘A Weekend In The City’, which features a continued thread – the city. “We’ve been avoiding that word ‘theme’,” Moakes explained. “Some crimes against music have happened when that word comes into play! But I like to think of it as more like, say, The Arcade Fire – the album works more because of that thread running through it. It was really Kele’s project.
