Billie Joe Denies Rumors; Lashes Out At The Network

In an audio message on ’s website, singer Billie Joe Armstrong has denied rumors regarding the mysterious band known as The Network who have released an album on Billie Joe’s own Adeline records, and whom many believe to be Green Day’s secret alter-egos. “I just wanted to talk about the rumors and the bullsh** that has been going on lately,” Armstrong says on the website. “All I gotta say is fu** The Network. These guys are totally spreading rumors. I try to do these guys a favor by bringing them to this country and putting out their record and this is how I get repaid, by talking sh** about my band. Unfortunately there is a contract and I have to put out their record. The only thing I can say is, ‘Fu** you Network, bring it on.'” Audio at greenday.com has since been removed.
