Avenged Sevenfold Drummer James Sullivan Dead
The Orange County Register reports Avenged Sevenfold drummer James Sullivan was found dead at his home on Monday. “The Rev” apparently died of natural causes, according to Huntington Beach police Lt. John Domingo. Sullivan was 28.
The band wrote on their Facebook:
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan. Jimmy was not only one of the world’s best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy’s family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time.
Jimmy you are forever in our hearts.

The Rev was one of my biggest idols of all time! I thought he was the best drummer in the whole world!! I got a text message at 1 this morning saying that the drummer to my favorite band has died…and I just cried.
Dude I can’t believe he is gone. he was my idol. The only reason I started learning how to play the drums was because of him. When I was told this morning that he died I just broke down and cried. he will be missed by A LOT of people.
I found out that the rev was dead Tuesday morning and I couldn’t believe he was gone a7x will NEVER be the same, and does anyone find it awkward that most of these celebrity deaths are by “natural causes”?
