Audioslave’s Steady Success Continues To Confound Doubters

bassist Tim Commerford sympathizes with disgruntled fans still pining for the Rage Against the Machine past – but only somewhat. “I’m not sold by the record, either,” he tells Ben Wener of The Orange County Register. “But then, I was never sold by any Rage record. It’s the live show that has to convince you.” The group has been able to winning people over though, as their self-titled debut continues to stick amongst the top of the album charts. “I’m looking out at the audience and it’s filled with young kids,” he enthused. “That, to me, is an indication that we’re doing something right – that young kids are digging it.”
