Arctic Monkeys Cause Audience Frenzy In LA
Victoria Newton of The Sun was on hand for the Arctic Monkeys’ gig in Los Angeles Wednesday night, where frontman Alex Turner ignored California’s underaged drinking laws. She writes, “The band’s debut album, ‘Whatever People Say I Am That’s What I’m Not’, entered the Billboard Charts at number 24 last week. But the crowd were chanting the songs as if they were at a football match. And they looked like they were going to charge the stage when the intro to ‘I Bet You Look Good On The Dance-floor’ started. The usually sedate LA crowd, who normally only bob their heads politely to indie music, were soon whipped up into a frenzy.” The full story at thesun.co.uk has since been archived.
