Arctic Monkeys Cause Audience Frenzy In LA

Victoria Newton of The Sun was on hand for the ’ gig in Los Angeles Wednesday night, where frontman Alex Turner ignored California’s underaged drinking laws. She writes, “The band’s debut album, ‘Whatever People Say I Am That’s What I’m Not’, entered the Billboard Charts at number 24 last week. But the crowd were chanting the songs as if they were at a football match. And they looked like they were going to charge the stage when the intro to ‘I Bet You Look Good On The Dance-floor’ started. The usually sedate LA crowd, who normally only bob their heads politely to indie music, were soon whipped up into a frenzy.” The full story at thesun.co.uk has since been archived.
