Anthony Kiedis Opens Up In ‘Scar Tissue’
The New York Post reports Anthony Kiedis, frontman for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, opens up about darkness, death, disease, drugs in his new book ‘Scar Tissue’. He’ll tell of the day his partners kicked him out of the band: “I had a brief moment of clarity. I realized they had every right to fire me. It was like cutting off your foot because it was gangrened, so that the rest of your body wouldn’t die. I just wanted to be remembered as a founding member of the band… now I knew I had zero responsibilities and could just go off and get loaded.” The book is set for a November release.
