Jim Abbott of the Orlando Sentinel spoke with Bush drummer Robin Goodridge about the band being compared heavily to Nirvana, though less so than when they hit the scene in 1994. Goodridge said, “Who didn’t want to be Nirvana, in as much as who didn’t want to be that successful? We thought that was an amazing band, but we certainly didn’t copy them.” He then used the opportunity to give the same label to another rock act, “There are a lot of bands on the radio right now that would really want to be that big. There’s one band called Creed that would really like to be Pearl Jam. The sad thing is that about 6 million kids think they are.” Orlandosentinel.com has since removed the article.
