Annoyingly Catchy ‘Lyla’ Growing On Oasis

Australia’s Time Off magazine spoke with Oasis guitarist Andy Bell and guitarist/vocalist Noel Gallagher. As for ‘Lyla’, the first single off ‘Heathen Chemistry’, Bell said, “It’s somewhere down the list in terms of [being] the best song on the album, but it’s an ideal first single because it’s kind of immediate. It’s immediate and it’s a grower – that’s a pretty difficult thing to achieve. It’s grown on me though, that’s for sure.” And Noel called the track the poppiest from the group since ‘Roll With It’ and “annoyingly catchy.”
