Amy Lee Loves The Edge Of Evanescence

singer Amy Lee tells the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that she didn’t want to be a Tori or a Sarah McLachlan or a Vanessa Carlton. “This is the music that I love,” Lee said. “I wouldn’t be happy in a singer-songwriter-simple-quiet music setting. It’s not me. I love the edge of our music. I love rock. I do love people like Tori Amos. But I also love Nine Inch Nails and Korn and Audioslave, and I grew up with bands like Pearl Jam.”
