Alter Bridge has forged a path, and with their recent tour with labelmates Another Animal, the group’s guitarist Mark Tremonti talked with Artisan News Service about the absence of big band pressure. “Not taking yourselves way too seriously,” he said of lessons learned with Creed. “Just do it to have fun, and not worry so much about every little detail. You don’t have to get to the point where you have to ask 16 people to get something done. Back in the Creed days if you needed a simple decision to be made it took you three weeks. The system just broke down. Keep it all just for fun. We’ve been there, now we just want to do it. If it ever turns into that business again, that’s not why we’re doing it, so we’ll definitely fix it as soon as it happens.” Watch the segment at YouTube.
