It’s not a stretch for a pop-punk band to be talking about sh**, so at first, hearing ’s Matt Skiba howl about sh***ing the bed on ‘This Could Be Love’ — the first track on their new ‘Good Mourning’ disc — isn’t such a shocker. “It’s a matter of getting things off of our chests,” Skiba tells the Toronto Eye of his band’s songwriting. “All of our songs are loosely based on true events, so the things that influence our daily lives are what we write about. Unfortunately, we don’t have to dig too hard to find things.” Eye.net has since removed the article.
