Albarn’s Side Project Causes Trouble With Blur Bandmates

Gorillaz singer and Blur frontman Damon Albarn tells Time Out magazine his stint with the cartoon band has caused some friction with his Blur bandmates. Damon did reveal though he convinced the Blur members he wasn’t ditching the group and that they’ve already written 14 new songs in four weeks. Albarn said, “I couldn’t really not make a big deal about Gorillaz. I don’t think [the other members of Blur] were particularly cool about it.”
