A.F.I.’s ‘Girl’s Not Grey’ Inspired By Toronto

AFI guitarist Jade Puget and singer Davey Havoc explained to Launch.com why they were inspired to write ‘Girl’s Not Grey’ during a trip to Toronto just before they were going into the studio to record the album. “The music, I just went to Toronto by myself just to hang out there and write a little more for the album because we were getting ready to go into the studio,” Puget said. “That was the only thing I wrote there. I guess Toronto made me (laughs) [want to write].” Havoc added, “Lyrically, I just flowed from the music. Actually, it was one of those songs where I just listened to the song, and it inspired me to write.”
