Aerosmith Sobered To Hear Of Jam Master Jay Murder
Gene Stout of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer spoke with Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton who shared where the band was when Run-DMC’s Jam Master Jay had been murdered in Queens on October 30th. “We got the news just before our encore,” Hamilton said. “Ironically, it was just before ‘Walk This Way,’ which is where we used to have those guys come out on stage with us last summer. So it really cast a pall over us and the audience for a few minutes. I think everybody at the show was determined to have a good time. But it was a very sobering moment.” Read more.
